Denis Mortet Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux 2017 (750ml)
Established in 1956 by Charles Mortet in Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Denis Mortet became a Burgundy icon under Denis Mortet, who founded the estate in 1991. Spanning 11.2 hectares, including Grand Crus like Chambertin and Clos de Vougeot, the domaine is renowned for its meticulous Pinot Noir craftsmanship. After Denis’ passing in 2006, his son Arnaud, with mother Laurence and sister Clémence, elevated the estate’s legacy. Arnaud’s sustainable practices—hand-harvesting, horse-plowing, and minimal oak—yield elegant, mineral-driven wines with velvety textures and aging potential. Inspired by mentors Henri Jayer and Lalou Bize-Leroy, the domaine’s precise viticulture and non-interventionist winemaking produce highly sought-after bottles, celebrated for finesse and terroir expression.
